PAZIN, 19 May (Hina) - The first three-day international conference
of Croatian, Austrian and Bosnian-Herzegovinian publishers,
entitled 'Journey Into the Heart of Europe', ended in Pazin on
Sunday. The head of the Austrian Cultural Institute in Zagreb,
Walter Maria Stojan, informed a press conference about the results
of the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to search for ways
of establishment of closer ties between Europe's neighbouring
countries, Stojan said.
The second international meeting of Croatian, Austrian and
Bosnian-Herzegovinian publishers would be held in May 1997 in
Pazin. Until then, the Austrian Cultural Institute from Zagreb, the
Austrian publishing house Wieser-Verlag from Klagenfurt and
Austrian institutions plan to publish several books in cooperation
with Croatian and Bosnian publishers.
The books to be published include a book on Bosnia's
architecture, children books and two books of poems, Stojan said.
