SLAVONSKI BROD, May 10 (Hina) - Bosnian Serb forces fired two
rifle-launched grenades at central Slavonski Brod, about 180 km
east of Zagreb, at 22.00 hours on Thursday, Slavonski Brod police
said in a statement on Friday.
One grenade hit the wall of a former bookshop in the town's
shopping area but failed to explode. Only three minutes later a
second grenade fell and exploded in the courtyard of a family
house. There were no casualties.
The attack was carried out from the Bosanski Brod area of
Serb-controlled northern Bosnia.
The Slavonski Brod county police were informed about the
armed provocation early Friday afternoon and were investigating
the incident together with the civilian police of the NATO-led
peace Implementation Force (IFOR).
