ZAGREB, May 3 (Hina) - The Zagreb financial police on Friday issued
a public statement on the sealing of editorial offices of Croatian
weekly "Panorama" in Zagreb. #L#
The financial police temporarily banned the activities of
"Panorama's" publishing company, "Croata", because the company
violated the Law on Trading Societies.
"Croata" started its publishing and printing activity on
business premises before it was granted a permit to use them.
The claim which appeared in the media that data from disks
found on the premises had been checked was incorrect, the financial
police pointed out. The disks were sealed and stored on the
taxpayer's premises in the presence of the company's manager, in
order to avoid possible abuse, the statement concluded.
