A BRIEF LOOK AT CROATIAN PRESS ON FRIDAY

ZAGREB, Apr 25 (Hina) - Today's VJESNIK devotes most of the front pages to yesterday's Government session. An article headlined "Blaskic Not to Be Released on Bail Yet" reports the latest news from the International War Crimes Tribunal. The editorial, by Nenad Ivankovic, discusses Croatia's admission to the Council of Europe. The proceedings of the Parliamentary Assembly are covered under the headline "Cassese Proposes Sanctions as Punishment for the Serbs' Lack of Cooperation." The paper runs an interview with Croatian Helsinki Committee (HHO) official Petar Mrkalj, headlined "We'll Soon Be Protecting Human Rights in Vukovar and Ilok."
