VOJNIĆ, 2 April (Hina) - Representatives of Croatia, BH and UNHCR
agreed Tuesday to close Kupljensko makeshift refugee camp (app.
60 km south of Zagreb), which was set up in August 1995 by
refugees from western Bosnia.
The deal was made at a several hour long meeting at the camp by
representatives of the refugees, local authorities of their
native Velika Kladusa and Cazin, commanders of a joint BH,
Croatian and Turkish police force, deployed in western Bosnia,
IFOR and the EU.
Out of 5468 persons presently at the camp, some will go
home, others will be accommodated at refugee centers in Croatia
and a third group will leave for third countries, mostly the USA.
The Kupljensko camp was set up more than 230 days ago.
