ZAGREB, March 14 (Hina) - President Tudjman's Chief-Of-Staff Ivo Sanader on Thursday received Ambassador Guillermo Gonzales, undersecretary in the Argentinean Foreign Ministry, a statement form the President's Office said.

undersecretary in the Argentinean Foreign Ministry, a statement

Sanader thanked Gonzales for the efforts his country had put
in the solution of the crisis in the region and for Argentina's
participation in the international peace force, adding that
relations between Croatia and Argentina were exemplary.
The Dayton agreements had created conditions for the
establishment of peace in the region and opened new possibilities
for economic development, Sanader said, adding that Croatian ports
could be entrance points for the Argentinean economy in Central and
Eastern Europe.
Ambassador Gonzales stressed the contribution of Croatian
emigrants in Argentina's development, adding that it was in the
interest of both countries to develop economic, along with the
already good political relations.
Gonzales greeted results of the Croatian economy, especially
the successful transition from the socialist to market economy and
offered help of Argentinean experts.
Sanader conveyed President Tudjman's invitation to the
Argentinean President Carlos Menem to pay an official visit to
Croatia.
