ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - The Croatian Sabor (parliament) Upper House
continued its session Tuesday discussing a series of bills on
denationalization.
"Our guiding principle was only not to commit new injustices
while correcting old ones," said Justice Minister Miroslav
Separovic commenting on the government-proposed Bill on
compensation for expropriated property.
He elaborated that the proposal envisioned two forms of the
compensations: stock bonds or shares in the Croatian Privatization
Fund and the certificates of the Croatian Compensation Fund.
The bill stipulated that the right on compensation would be
entitled only to the Croatian citizens who were first successors in
title. Any attempt to expand the heirs would significantly increase
the amount the state would be obliged to pay, he said.
