ZAGREB, Feb 9 (Hina) - Today's VJESNIK devotes the front page to
yesterday's meeting between Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and
Italian Foreign Minister Susanna Agnelli, under the headline
"Koschnik's Decision Will Be Reconsidered."
"Croatia is not in the mood for war, it wants peace. This
intention has been read correctly in Washington. On the other hand,
the State Department is also well aware that Croatia is determined
to see the eastern Slavonia issue resolved within a year. With this
in mind, it is understandable why US Administrator Klein is so bent
on implementing the Dayton Agreement to the last dot," writes
VJESNIK's editorialist Aleksandar Milosevic.
The middle page is devoted to Bosnian Croat protests in Mostar
following Administrator Koschnik's decision on seven
municipalities.
"Koschnik's Decision Is Arbitrary," proclaims a bold front-
page headline in VECERNJI LIST. A mosaic of articles on page 3 all
deal with the Mostar issue from various points of view.
The paper carries an interview with Bela Tonkovic, president
of the Democratic Alliance of Vojvodina Croats.
