GENEVA, Jan 21 (Hina) - The first economic forum of eastern and western European regions ended its four-day session in Geneva today. The forum was organised by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe (CLRAE), one of
the organisations of the Council of Europe. The session, which included representatives from 40 countries, was also attended by representatives from the Croatian Foreign Ministry, Croatia's permanent mission in the U.N. in Geneva, Croatian Association of Cities and Municipalities, Istria County, City of Osijek, Zagreb Youth Theater and Zagreb Dance Ensemble.

western European regions ended its four-day session in Geneva
today. The forum was organised by the Congress of Local and
Regional Authorities of Europe (CLRAE), one of the organisations of
the Council of Europe. The session, which included representatives
from 40 countries, was also attended by representatives from the
Croatian Foreign Ministry, Croatia's permanent mission in the U.N.
in Geneva, Croatian Association of Cities and Municipalities,

The representatives exchanged views on diverse potentials of
Pan-European cooperation between East and West at regional and
local levels. The session also adopted conclusions on the
establishment of 'Foundation for Europe of Regions', 'European Year
for Establishment of Pan-European Partnership', as well as
conclusions on future activities in the post-Dayton peace process.
The congress also organised a plenary session entitled
'Cooperation for Reconstruction of Regions Damaged by Former
Yugoslavia Conflict'.
The congress supported speedy reconstruction of Croatian and
Bosnian war-damaged areas and demanded that the process of
reconstruction include all European governments and institutions.
