SARAJEVO, JAN 14 (Hina) - The main headquarters of the Implementation Force (IFOR), in Sarajevo have not yet recieved any official demand that NATO troops help in uncovering mass graves in Bosnia-Herzegovina, said a spokesman for the
IFOR headquarters confirming that they are ready to do so if asked.
SARAJEVO, JAN 14 (Hina) - The main headquarters of the
Implementation Force (IFOR), in Sarajevo have not yet recieved any
official demand that NATO troops help in uncovering mass graves in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, said a spokesman for the IFOR headquarters
confirming that they are ready to do so if asked. #L#
"Our main task at the moment is to supervise the withdrawal of
troops from the confrontation lines, but we are ready to help
international investigation officers to reach spots which are
believed to be sites of mass graves", the IFOR spokesman Marc
Reiner, said on Sunday.
The spokesman also said that the IFOR was closely cooperating
with the International Tribunal in the Hague, and added that IFOR
would participate in uncovering the mass graves if asked to do so.
