Bagaric complained about the economic stagnation in the area,
saying the total war damage in the county was assessed to some 4.6
billion German marks.
After the military action a significant progress has been made
in normalization of every day life, Bagaric said, but added he was
worried by the production stalemate.
"There are neither credits nor foreign capital influx. People
finance all their works with their own money," the county prefect
said, adding the local economy needed much more credits to be
invested, particularly in the small industries and crafts, which
had already had a necessary infrastructure and a long tradition in
the area.
Pavletic expressed his support for the ideas, which he hoped
would enable creating jobs in the area, especially for younger
people.
