The talks on the release of war prisoners would also be held
at a meeting of the joint military commission scheduled for 8
January at Sarajevo airport. ICRC intended to visit all persons
whose names were on POW lists and until that task was completed,
there would be no statements on the number of war prisoners, the
ICRC spokesman said.
ICRC representatives estimated in December last year that some
700 persons could be held prisoner by the three parties in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, but they denied the estimation after all three sides
had given them their POW lists.
