SPLIT, Jan 2 (Hina) - A second wave of German troops flew into the Croatian port city of Split on Tuesday to join the NATO-led Bosnian peace Implementation Force (IFOR). Two air force Boeing 707s touched down from Cologne in the early
afternoon. They would be followed by a third later in the day, and a fourth cargo jet would arrive in the evening carrying equipment such as light vehicles, for German troops based in the Adriatic resort of Primosten, set up to serve as an IFOR logistic base.
SPLIT, Jan 2 (Hina) - A second wave of German troops flew into the

Two air force Boeing 707s touched down from Cologne in the

It was the second group out of total of 4,000 German troops
scheduled to take part in the IFOR mission. So far 1,200 of them
have arrived.
An aircraft carrying a vanguard of 60 Canadian troops landed
in Split as well. The Canadians left for Bosnia immediately.
