VITEZ, Dec 21 (Hina) - Bosnian Croats Pero Skopljak and Ivan Santic,
who were acquitted of war charges by the International Criminal
Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, on Sunday arrived in their
hometown of Vitez in central Bosnia.
Skopljak, Santic and Marinko Katava, who reached Vitez last
evening, arrived in Zagreb from The Hague yesterday.
"As long as we fight for the truth and offer others the truth, we
will have the right to the best heritage of the democratic world",
Skopljak told Vitez residents who welcomed him, Santic and Katava.
Pointing out they should have no illusions regarding the position
of Bosnian Croats in ICTY prisons, Santic said their innocence gave
them strength in The Hague, while Katava said their acquittal was
the "first battle we have won in entirely unequal circumstances".
