KRAJISNIK BELIEVES KARADZIC IS INNOCENT

( Editorial: --> 0123 ) PALE, Dec 21 (Hina) - "Radovan Karadzic is innocent without a doubt", Serb representative in the Bosnian Presidency Momcilo Krajisnik said Sunday after a meeting with U.S. envoy in Bosnia- Herzegovina, Robert Gelbard. "I know Karadzic well and if I thought he was guilty, I would never back him", said Krajisnik. Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic is the most wanted man on the list of the Hague-based International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, which charged him with war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity. "We are in possession of evidence and documents which fully eliminate his guilt. This is the reason we called on the ICTY to find the truth here", said Krajisnik. "Karadzic doesn't trust the ICTY enough to go to The Hague", he said, adding he has "not been in touch with him for a long time". (hina) ha 212014 MET dec 97
