BEIJING, Nov 13 (Hina) - The fourth session of the Croatian-Chinese
inter-government committee for economic and trade cooperation
closed in Beijing on Thursday with the signing of a protocol.
The Croatian delegation was headed by assistant economy minister
Neven Mimica.
The delegations of the two countries exchanged information on the
economic situation in Croatia and China and on Croatian-Chinese
negotiations with the World Trade Organization.
The inter-government committee paid special attention to the
stimulation of mutual cooperation.
According to Mimica, Croatia wanted cooperation in five concrete
projects in mariculture, agriculture and the electric power
industry, in which Croatian partners are interested.
Today, Mimica also met with the Chinese deputy minister for foreign
trade and economic cooperation, Chen Xinhuao. Mimica handed
Xinhuao a letter from Croatian economy minister Nenad Porges which
reiterates an invitation to Chinese foreign trade and economic
cooperation minister Wu Yi to visit Croatia.
