ZAGREB, 21 Oct (Hina) - The Croatian and Polish military
delegations met on Tuesday in Zagreb for two-day talks on the
security situation in Europe, regional cooperation, participation
and cooperation between the two countries' defence ministries, and
the expansion of NATO, the Croatian Defence Ministry said in a
statement.
The delegations, led by the head of the office for operational
management of re-organisation of the Croatian army, Major General
Ivan Kapular, and the head of the Polish State Secretariat
department for international security, Brigadier Marian
Kowalewski, met in the office for operational management of re-
organisation of the Croatian army.
During the meeting, the Croatian delegation informed their Polish
guests about their experience in creating and re-organising the
Croatian defence system and the making of the so-called 'White
Book', as well as about the efforts that were being made so that
Croatia could become a member of Western European security
institutions as soon as possible, the statement said.
The Polish delegation presented their country's experience in the
organisation and functioning of the national security system, as
well as about Poland's adjustment to and its integration into NATO,
the statement said. The talks are to continue on Wednesday.
