WIM REGATTA BEGINS ON CROATIAN ISLAND OF MURTER

MURTER, Oct 21 (Hina) - Austrian Ambassador to Croatia, Rudolf Bogner, on Tuesday opened a yachting regatta called "Wim Business Cup '97" on the central Croatian Adriatic island of Murter. The regatta has been organised by the Austrian 'Wim Yachting Osterreich' company, with the help of the marina of Hramina on Murter and the Yacht Club Kornati. The event has brought together over 90 Austrian, Bavarian and several Croatian crews consisting chiefly of businessmen, and that's why this regatta is specific. Employees of leading Austrian and Bavarian companies - the Siemens Nixdorf, Vienna Airport, the Raiffeisen insurance company, the Porsche liesing, the Austrian Post and Telecommunications, Die Presse, the Wiener Allianz insurance company, the IBM, the Casino Austria, the Siemens AG Austria, and others- will sail round the Kornati archipelago in next two days.
