Citing the Bosnian Constitution and the Constitution of the
Federation of Bosnia Herzegovina, which both include the European
Charter on Regional or Minority Languages of 1992, Zubak asked
that one channel in the Croatian language be introduced in the
television system in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and that the prevention
of broadcasting of the Croatian Radio-Television program on the
territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina be stopped.
With the European Charter on Regional or Minority
Languages, Bosnia had committed itself to free and direct
broadcasting of radio and television program from neighbouring
countries in the language which is similar to or same as the
regional language of minorities, in this case, the official
Croatian language, Zubak said in the letter.
