Vidak Kozul, a 52 year-old west Mostar Croat was on his way to
retrieve his employment book from a company he used to work for in
east Mostar, when he was attacked and bludgeoned in front of the
company's restaurant on 26 September.
He was transported to a hospital in Split, Croatia.
Kozul succumbed to his injuries in the main intensive care
unit at 01.30 hours Friday night.
Kozul had arrived at the hospital unconscious, and although
surgery had been done on his head, he never regained consciousness,
a doctor at the hospital's intensive care unit, Antun Bacic, said.
He added such an outcome was to have been expected because the
whole time, his brain showed no signs of activity.
