ZAGREB, Oct 7 (Hina) - Council of Europe's director for legal issues, Guy de Vel, on Tuesday visited the Croatian Parliament and held talks with deputy president of the Parliament's Committee for the Constitution, Rules of Procedure
and Political System, Smiljko Sokol, the Croatian Parliament's Public Relations Service said.
ZAGREB, Oct 7 (Hina) - Council of Europe's director for legal
issues, Guy de Vel, on Tuesday visited the Croatian Parliament and
held talks with deputy president of the Parliament's Committee for
the Constitution, Rules of Procedure and Political System, Smiljko
Sokol, the Croatian Parliament's Public Relations Service said. #L#
De Vel informed Sokol about the subjects of a meeting among
presidents and prime ministers of Council of Europe member countries
which is to take place this November.
De Vel expressed satisfaction with the fact that Croatia had
accepted the Convention on the Rights of National Minorities, and
that it would soon accept the Human Rights Convention.
Sokol informed his guest about the new Croatian legislature
which has been conformed with the legal standards of countries with
a developed democracy.
