ZAGREB, Sept 30 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on
Tuesday received the new Bulgarian Ambassador to Croatia, Velizar
Encev.
Handing credentials, Encev recalled the historical cooperation
of the Croatian and Bulgarian peoples, who have been "natural allies
in advocating their national interests".
Bulgaria and the Bulgarian people had complete support and
solidarity for Croatia's recent struggle for independence,
Ambassador Encev said, pointing out Bulgaria had been among the
first to recognize Croatia.
Croatia and Bulgaria may be allies in accessing Euro-Atlantic
integrations, Encev added.
President Tudjman said modern Croatia was determined to
continue developing friendly relations with Bulgaria to mutual
benefit.
