"Officials of the Republic of Croatia should be congratulated
for their efforts in carrying out an internal investigation into
possible criminal wrongdoing by Croatian military and paramilitary
police units during the war (1991 to 1995), the statement said.
The apprehension of the four suspects showed Croatia's
determination to 'clean up its own house', and the ongoing
investigation went well beyond the requirements of the Dayton
Agreement.
NFCA members were proud of Croatia's history of full
compliance with the Dayton Accords and its unequivocal position
regarding cooperation with the International War Crimes Tribunal for
the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), the statement said.
