ZAGREB, 19 Sept (Hina) - The Croatian Economy Ministry on Friday issued a statement saying that the decision to relieve Ivan Skoro of his duties as Assistant Economy Minister is in no way connected with the investigation that had been
launched against Assistant Economy Minister Petar Petric who is suspected of taking bribes.
ZAGREB, 19 Sept (Hina) - The Croatian Economy Ministry on Friday
issued a statement saying that the decision to relieve Ivan Skoro of
his duties as Assistant Economy Minister is in no way connected with
the investigation that had been launched against Assistant Economy
Minister Petar Petric who is suspected of taking bribes. #L#
The decision to relieve Skoro of his duties was made at a
Croatian Government session held on Thursday.
'Dr Ivan Skoro had performed his duties as Assistant Economy
Minister in charge of trade from 10 May 1993 to 18 September 1997
and in that four-year period he performed his duties honourably and
conscientiously,' the statement said.
The decision to relieve Skoro of his duty is part of earlier
started changes in the organisation of the Economy Ministry
concerning trade and overall relations on the market.
