With the construction of the ferry port, Stari Grad is to
become the main Hvar port, and besides Supetar, the biggest port
on Croatian islands.
Under the agreement, the ferry port had to be completed by
the end of May next year, Stari Grad mayor, Tonci Stancic, said.
The biggest ships sailing the Mediterranean would be able
to sail into the port, while the biggest ship so far to have been
able to enter the port was a ferry with 30 vehicles at the most.
Radic stressed that out of 56 projects realised on Croatian
islands in the past seven years, this was the biggest.
