Artists have created 14 stations of the way of the Cross in wood, and
14 paintings of the same, with an additional 15th station, entitled
"Resurrection".
According to the president of this year's art colony's organisation
committee, Sinisa Tankosic, the 15th station symbolised the suffering and
future of Croatian displaced persons.
About 1,500 residents lived in Ernestinovo before the war, over 1,00
are now displaced.
Deputy head of the Ernestinovo municipality, Zvonko Bugarin, said
that about 300 people lived in the town at the present day, 250 of which
were Serbs, 80 having had settled there from other parts of Croatia.
