PLITVICE, Sept 1 (Hina) - About 100,000 tourists visited Plitvice
National Park last month, of whom as many as 70 per cent were
foreigners, park director Stipe Dujmovic said on Monday.
In the first eight months of this year, the park, which had
been under rebel Serb occupation for four years, was visited by
270,000 holidaymakers.
Admission and hotel prices were lowered by 20 per cent on
Monday so that good results were also expected in the off-season,
particularly in the second half of September for when numerous
student groups had announced their trips.
