NIN, 24 Aug (Hina) - The treasury with church artefacts of the
town of Nin, near Zadar, central Adriatic, was presented to the
public last week.
The treasury is exhibited in the chapel of Our Lady of
Zecevo, which is located near the church of St Anzelmo, in the
town centre. The artefacts date back to the 8th, 9th,10th, 11th
and later centuries of the Croatian history. The collection
includes objects used in religious services, reliquaries, various
silver plates, chalices, chests and other silver and golden
objects.
The exhibition was first opened in 1980. During the war,
the artefacts were put in a safe place, together with gold and
silver of the town of Zadar. This is the first time they are
presented to the public after their restoration.
