ZAGREB, Aug 21 (Hina) - Croatian and Israeli delegations
successfully finalised negotiations on the establishment of
diplomatic relations in Budapest on Thursday, the Croatian
Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Croatian delegation was headed by Presidential Chief of
Staff Hrvoje Sarinic and it included Deputy Foreign Minister Ivo
Sanader and Director General of the INA oil company Davor Stern.
The Israeli delegation was led by Foreign Ministry Director
General Eytan Bentsur.
The two delegations issued a joint communique after the
meeting, confirming that the governments of the two countries
would sign documents on the establishment of full diplomatic
relations not later than September 1997, the statement concluded.
