ZAGREB, Aug 16 (Hina) - An indented coastline and more than a
thousand islands attract numerous boaters to Croatia.
Croatia has over 40 modern and relatively well-equipped
marinas offering about 11,000 moorings. Small ports are also well
equipped and provide a safe anchorage.
Most boaters who visit the Croatian Adriatic coast are
Germans, Austrians and Italians. About 50,000 boats are expected
to dock in Croatian marinas this year.
According to estimates by tourist experts, Croatia is
capable of meeting growing foreign demand in the boating business
and is expected to be able to receive about 100,000 boats by the
year 2010.
