VUKOVAR, 11 Aug (Hina) - On the night between 8 and 9 August two men were killed in the village of Marinci, in the part of Nustar municipality under U.N. administration, the head of the Transitional Police Force (TPF) of the U.N.
Transitional Administration in Eastern Slavonia (UNTAES), Ivan Babic, told Hina Monday.
VUKOVAR, 11 Aug (Hina) - On the night between 8 and 9 August two
men were killed in the village of Marinci, in the part of Nustar
municipality under U.N. administration, the head of the
Transitional Police Force (TPF) of the U.N. Transitional
Administration in Eastern Slavonia (UNTAES), Ivan Babic, told

The victims, aged 21 and 24, were of Serb nationality and
they were old residents of Marinci, Babic said, adding that the
victims were killed in a fight with fire-arms.
The bodies of the two men were found in a family house in
Marinci. An on-the-spot investigation was carried out by the TPF
and UNTAES Civil Police in cooperation with Vukovar County
police, Babic said, adding that an investigation into the murder
is under way.
Jyri Chizik, assistant spokesman for the UNTAES public
relations office confirmed the report on the murder. He gave no
details of the case, adding that the UNTAES would issue a
statement later.
