ZAGREB, Aug 1 (Hina) - A Croatian Deputy Defence Minister,
Lieutenant-General Kresimir Cosic, on Friday received the incoming
military attaché of Iran, Brigadier General Hamid Reza Mirzaei.
"The first military envoy to Croatia with the rank of general
comes from Iran, and this clearly shows Iran's interest in
development of bilateral military relations. But it is only the
inaugural visit during which we pointed to possible areas of future
military cooperation," the Croatian official said after the meeting.
The Iranian military attaché voiced hope that ties between the
two countries would be strengthened and promoted.
On Friday also, a deputy chief-of staff of the Croatian army
headquarters, Rear Admiral Davor Domazet-Loso, received the Iranian
military attaché Mirzaei.
