PULA, July 19 (Hina) - "Nautilus", a ship constructed at the Pula-based
shipyard "Uljanik" was launched on Saturday.
The 117-metres-long, 32-metres wide and 17-metres high ship was
built for the Spanish ship-owner Javier Cremades de Adaro.
The ship's capacity is 43,400 tons and can develop a speed up to 15
knots.
Present at the ceremony were Aide to the Croatian Economy Minister,
Milan Cuvalo, Aide to the Labour and Social Welfare Minister, Luka
Krznaric, director of the Croatian ship building company "Hrvatska
Brodogradnja" Ante Baucic, Pula Mayor Giancarlo Zupic and many
representative of the Istria County business life.
The keel of an oil tanker was laid on Saturday. The tanker is to be
built soon at the shipyard for the Swiss-based "Sovchart" company and is
to sail under the Liberian flag.
