Eni's director Guglielmo Moscato said that "the agreement is of
particular interest to Eni, primarily because it makes it possible for
Italy to purchase new reserves of natural gas in the close proximity of
its factory and network on the Italian national territory.
In the long run, it is the basis for conquering new important
natural gas markets, of which Eni and INA would have great benefits in
the future, Moscato said.
INA's general director, Davor Stern, said that this was a new step
towards a wider strategic cooperation with Eni in all fields, which
would contribute to the economic development of Croatia and other
countries in the region.
