The decision on the postponement was made at the request of the
Prosecutor, who asked Trial Chamber I to hold on Monday 23 June a closed
hearing related to protective measures for witnesses.
The ICTY President Judge Antionio Cassese appointed Judge Mohamed
Shahabuddeen as the third member of Trial Chamber I in the trial of
Blaskic.
Judge Shahabuddeen, who was elected to ICTY on 20 May 1997, will
replace Judge Jules Deschenes, who resigned for health reasons.
The three-member trial chamber will be composed of Judges Claude
Jorda, Fuad Abdel-Monem Riad and Shahabuddeen.
