ZADAR, 18 June (Hina) - At a recently held session of the Working group for cooperation between European medium-sized cities, it was decided that Zadar should be admitted to the association. Zadar is the first Croatian city to become
a member of this respectable association of European cities, said a statement issued by the president of the Zadar City Council Committee for International Cooperation of Cities, Dragomir Misljenac.

ZADAR, 18 June (Hina) - At a recently held session of the Working group
for cooperation between European medium-sized cities, it was decided
that Zadar should be admitted to the association.
Zadar is the first Croatian city to become a member of this
respectable association of European cities, said a statement issued by
the president of the Zadar City Council Committee for International
Cooperation of Cities, Dragomir Misljenac. #L#
The group was founded two years ago. So far, the group has granted
membership to 21 cities from Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, the
Czech Republic, Poland, France, Italy and Slovenia.
The joint characteristic of those cities is that they all have rich
cultural heritage, important institutions of higher education and
developed tourism.
The purpose of the group is to create a higher level of integration
and establish closer cooperation in the areas of culture, education,
economy etc.
