ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Defense Minister Lt. Gen.
Kresimir Cosic on Wednesday received a delegation of the Polish Foreign
Ministry headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Eugeniusz Wyznewr, the
Croatian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Cosic informed the Polish delegation about the implementation of
the peaceful reintegration of Croatia's Danube region, pointing out that
after the successfully held elections and the constitution of civil
authorities, all conditions to terminate the military component of the
UNTAES mandate had been created.
Poland's deputy foreign minister gave credit to Croatia's peace
policy and expressed hope for final stability in the region. Poland,
Wyznewr said, saw in Croatia and important partner in the future, in the
economic, political and military sense.
During the talks satisfaction was expressed with the development of
bilateral relations between the two countries, with a wish to expand
relations in international military cooperation, on which the defense
ministries of Croatia and Poland should reach a concrete agreement.
