ZAGREB, June 10 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minster Zlatko Matesa on Tuesday
opened new offices of the Siemens company in Zagreb. Present at the
opening ceremony besides many employees and guests from Austria and
Germany were Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges and presidents of
the Siemens Zagreb and Siemens AG Austria management boards, Mirko
Barisic, and Albert Hochleitner. #L#
"Siemens stayed in Croatia when all others left it," Matesa said,
especially pointing out Siemen's business philosophy that people were
the most important because everything else could be organised and
bought.
The Siemens company which celebrates it s 150th anniversary this
year has been present in Croatia for over 75 years.
Barisic said Siemens had an return of about DM 200 million in
Croatia through production, sales and other business activities.
He said that the basic strategic goal of Siemens Zagreb was the
establishment of an independent Croatian Siemens.
