ZAGREB
ZAGREB, June 5 (Hina) - The "Macroeconomic Stabilization In Transition
Economies", published by the Cambridge University Press, was presented
in Zagreb on Thursday. The book comprises the most successful scientific
works from the First International Conference on Transition Countries,
which was held in the south Croatian port of Dubrovnik in June 1995.
The book was presented by its editors, Mario I. Blejer, advisor at
the International Monetary Fund and professor at Jerusalem's Hebrew
University, and Marko Skreb, governor of the Croatian National Bank, as
well as the promoters, Pero Jurkovic, the Croatian President's economy
advisor, and Mato Babic, a professor at Zagreb's Faculty of Economy.
At the presentation, Skreb announced the Third International
Conference on Transition Countries, which should gather about 70
participants from ten countries in Dubrovnik on 25 and 26 June.
