RIJEKA, June 5 (Hina) - The recently rehabilitated Rijecka Banka
received a long-term syndicated loan of DM 25 million on very favourable
conditions, bank representatives said in Rijeka on Thursday.
They said this was the first big loan the Rijecka Banka had
received independently and without the state's guarantee, which was the
fruit of good cooperation with the Munich-based Bayerische Landesbank.
President of the Rijeka Bank's management board, Ivan Stokic, told
a news conference that the loan was intended for the creation of good
long-term sources of finance.
The loan was an indirect sign of Munich bank's recognition of the
Croatian credit rating, and we had already received very acceptable
credit offers from other respected world banks, Stokic said.
The bank's management informed that in 1996 , the Rijecka Banka had
had a revenue of 2.4 million kuna (US$ 400,000) and in the first four
months of this year, a revenue of 16.7 million kuna (US$ 2.78 million).
