SPLIT, March 1 (Hina) - Josip Dragun and Borislav Kostovic, members
of Croatian Army and police and victims from the Ovcara mass grave,
were buried in the Lovrinac cemetery in Split on Saturday.
The funeral service, attended by their families and Split
citizens, was led by Fr. Franjo Tomasevic.
Mr. Stjepan Marjanovic, who said the last farewell to the late
Dragun and Kostovic, on behalf of the Vukovar-Srijem police,
recalled the tragic events on November 20, 1991, when the
aggressors "took away 199 wounded from the Vukovar hospital." He
also recalled events on February 19 this year when bodies of some
victims, taken from the Vukovar hospital and buried in the Ovcara
mass grave, were identified.
After the funeral, memorial services were held in a Split
church.
