MOSTAR, Feb 11 (Hina) - The office of Mostar mayor Ivan Prskalo said in a
statement on Tuesday evening that seven citizens of the Republic of Croatia
had been harassed and held at gunpoint in the Moslem-controlled suburbs of
Potoci, Vrapcici and Bijelo Polje on Monday afternoon.
Two residents of Zagreb were beaten by Moslem police and their car, a
Golf, was destroyed. Two residents of Vrgorac were robbed of a Mercedes,
owned by the Vigal company of Vrgorac. Moslem police also seized a Golf from
a resident of Dubrovnik and 450 German marks from a Croatian from Ploce.
A Zagreb man, with temporary residence in Metkovic, was released on
Tuesday morning after being beaten and brought to a police station in
Moslem-held east Mostar. His vehicle remained in the eastern part of town,
the statement concluded.
