BUGOJNO, Jan 30 (Hina) - Several harrassment incidents were
registered in Bugojno last week, escalating tensions ahead of the
implementation of a pilot project for the return of exiled Croats
to that central Bosnian municipality with a strong Moslem element.
The Jurics, a Croat couple living in the village of Vucipolje
were attacked and robbed in their home by masked assailants. Ivo
Radic of Durlije fared even worse: after robbing him, the
perpetrators torched the ground floor of his family home. Both
incidents occurred on Friday Jan 24, the Commission for the Return
of Exiled Bugojno Croats reported.
Predictably, the investigation, conducted jointly by Moslem
and international police, yielded no leads as to the assailants'
identity.
