OSIJEK, Jan 15 (Hina) - A regular bus service between the east
Croatian town of Osijek and the village of Antunovac which is
under UNTAES control, not far from Osijek, was established on
Wednesday morning.
Busses of the "Panturist" bus service company are to run
from Osijek every week day at 8.30 hours and will return at
14.00. Bus rides are free and have been organized in
cooperation with UNHCR.
"When weather conditions improve and people are able to
work on their houses, we will introduce more busses which will
run every hour," "Panturist" director Stjepan Frigan said,
adding that the bus had been full today.
A total of 1694 passengers had been transported in the
last 23 days since "Panturist" busses have been driving from
Osijek to three locations in Baranja (also under UNTAES
control), Frigan said.
