ZAGREB, Jan 17 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament House of
Representatives on Friday voted confidence to new ministers -
Ivan Penic as Interior Minister, Zlatko Dominikovic as
Agriculture and Forestry Minister, Milan Kovac as
Privatization Minister and Marko Sirc as Urban Development,
Construction and Housing Minister.
After voting, the confirmed ministers took an oath of
allegiance before the Lower House members.
The Lower House adopted several bills in their first
reading, among which is the Bill on Penal Codes.
The House included eight additions to the agenda, and in
the continuation of the session next week, MP's are to discuss
the government Letter of Intent about the completion of the
peaceful reintegration of eastern Slavonia, Baranja and
western Srijem, about amendments suggested by members of the
Croatian Peasants' Party (HSS) to two election laws and the
Law on Local Self-Government.
The House of Representatives continued its session with
votes on amendments to the final Bill on Counties,
Municipalities and Towns in Croatia.
A total of 195 amendments were suggested to the Bill.
