PRISTINA, Dec 25 (Hina) - Serbia has no intention of following the
peace agreement and it has proved so by its actions, said the Kosovo
Liberation Army political representative, Adem Demaqi, commenting
on the Thursday attack on villages in Kosovo's municipality of
Podujevo, mostly populated by Albanians.
The KLA reported on Friday that yesterday's attacks were neither
provoked nor started by the KLA.
The KLA said it saw no point in continuing the policy of "self-
restraint" if this situation continues.
Albanian politicians asserted that the latest situation in Kosovo
demanded urgent and energetic intervention of the international
community.
The Yugoslav army and police commented on the Thursday Conflict
with certain delay.
The Serb-run Radio Pristina aired the Yugoslav Army statement,
reading that Albanian terrorists had attacked the Yugoslav Army
unit, carrying out regular exercise activities on the Pristina-
Podujevo road, on Thursday around 2 P.M. Two Yugoslav Army soldiers
were wounded in the attack.
The Yugoslav Army unit returned fire and destroyed the terrorist
group, the army statement said.
The Serbian Interior Ministry statement said that several Albanian
terrorists (the KLA members) were killed during the search after
the killer of a Serbian policeman from Podujevo.
The Kosovo Informative Centre however, denied that the killed
Albanians were members of the KLA. The source claimed that the
Serbian forces undertook punishment measures, in accordance with a
Serbian extremists request, reading that ten Albanians are to be
killed for each killed Serb.
The same source claimed that in the attack, the Serbian forces
killed at least nine Kosovo Albanians in their homes and back yards.
Among the killed were six-year-old Albana Hajdari and one woman
whose identity has not yet been revealed, the source reported.
