24 HIV POSITIVE PATIENTS IN BOSNIAN FEDERATION

SARAJEVO, Dec 2 (Hina) - Twenty-four persons in the Federation of +Bosnia-Herzegovina (BH) are registered as HIV positive and all are +under constant supervision, the federal national coordinator for +AIDS Zlatko Puvacic told "Dnevni Avaz" daily on Wednesday.+ The majority were infected sexually, while 40 percent of the +patients are intravenous drug addicts, Puvacic said.+ He believes there is no cause for particular concern with the AIDS +epidemic in BH, as the number of HIV positive persons remains below +one person per million.+ Since 1992, 31 persons have been infected with the virus, including +ten in the Croat-Muslim Federation.
