Tuesday received Getulio Alviani, an Italian painter who will
donate 22 works of art by representatives of the "new tendency" to
the museum in Vukovar, the war-ravaged town in eastern Croatia.
The gifts will first be displayed at the Contemporary Arts Museum in
Zagreb, and in Vukovar next year.
Alviani collected the works in question together with the late
artist Anna Palanga. The works include paintings by Croatian
artists Ivan Picelj and Vjenceslav Richter.
