KLEIN: BOSNIAKS OPPOSE DAYTON AS WELL

ZAGREB, Nov 25 (Hina) - The Bosniak stalling of the signing of the special relations agreement and the agreement on the Ploce port has shown that there are some people who do not favour a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic Bosnia-Herzegovina, Deputy High Representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina Jacques Klein told Radio France International. Up to now, it was believed that some Serbs support the Dayton agreement while others don't and that some Croats support it and others not, but it was generally believed that all Bosniaks (Muslims) support it, Klein said. However, it seems now that this was not true, he added. Friction in the Muslim delegation has imposed the question of transparency of relations. If the agreement on special relations demands transparency on the part of Croatia, then the same thing applies to the Bosniak side, primarily as regards the clarification of their relations with some of their friends in the Near East and elsewhere, the Deputy High Representative said. Klein said he believed that one of the reasons for the Bosniak refusal to sign the said agreements with Croatia was the inter- party rivalry and the beginning of a struggle for the position of Izetbegovic's successor.
