BELGRADE, Nov 20 (Hina) - British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook told +Belgrade's radio B-92 on Thursday that the international community +does not endorse the independence of Kosovo, because it would +jeopardise the stability of the region.+ Cook stressed the necessity for Kosovo to enjoy an autonomy within +Serbia, for which a precondition is serious dialogue with Kosovo +Albanians.+ The international community has a commitment which it is trying to +fulfil, and that is to convince the Kosovo Liberation Army to +respect cease-fire.+ That is why many countries are now undertaking measures to relay +this message to armed Albanians, Cook said.+ He expressed concern with the fact that the Albanian side is +refusing to begin a dialogue with Serbian authorities, and added +that he hoped that the Kosovo Albanian leader Rugova's negotiators +would soon shed light on their negotiating stances.+(hina) lml+
